The Art and Design Foundation was founded on January 1, 2007 as an impending 501C3 tax-exempt educational foundation supported by Art and Design Collections Inc. and general donors/patrons like you who are interested in supporting our activities. Art and Design Collections Inc. only connection with the Foundation is to provide financial and voluntary assistance including this website.

Purpose of The Art And Design Foundation
The Art & Design Foundation bases its efforts on the conviction that art and design determines the aesthetic quality of everyday life. The Foundation's goals are to educate the public about the role of design in society, to recognize achievement in design, and to call attention to the contributions art and design continue to make to society. The Foundation, in part, accomplishes these goals by providing financial support to all who need it, i.e. financially distress families, artist, etc. The assistance is distributed and dispersed by means of monetary grant awards, relief assistant funds, etc. In addition the Foundation organizes art and design exhibitions, competitions, lectures and other projects in pursuit of these goals.
In today’s environment, design excellence includes far more than aesthetic and functional criteria. The Foundation emphasizes the environmental consequences of design and stresses universal access of products that are useful to all aspects of society. As a result, it embraces the unity of the design arts as a whole.
Some of the programs subjects included eating implements, furniture, educational items, surface design, textile, glassware, lighting, office accessories, low-cost design, products from recycled materials and the impact of design on mass culture. The Foundation has also instated an annual Art & Design Foundation Award for promising artist.
